Invitation to Attend

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the AGITG Executive Committee, we are delighted to invite you to attend the 14th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Australasian Gastro-Intestinal Trials Group, being held 6 – 8 September 2012 at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth.

The planning committee have been hard at work developing an exciting Meeting program. This year, topics will feature around Refractory Colorectal Cancer; Anti-Angiogenesis; Pancreatic Cancer; Oesophago-Gastric Cancer and more. The clinical trials to be presented will update members on the status of AGITG trials and allow investigators to make comments and raise queries if appropriate.

The Meeting program will commence Thursday morning with the sponsored Meet the Professor Breakfast Symposium followed by various trials related sessions and Meet the Professor Symposia prior to the Multi-Disciplinary Workshop. Unlike previous years, day one is a full day of symposia, trials sessions and workshops, concluding with a Welcome Function. So, plan to arrive early, or the evening before and enjoy a night out in Sydney.

Friday will feature a Meet the Professor Breakfast Symposium, the AGITG Plenary session followed by concurrent workshops for radiation oncologists, medical oncologists and study coordinators. There will be poster presentations and a ‘best of posters session’. The Study Coordinators Forum will continue in the afternoon concurrent with the popular New Concepts Symposium. A session on Surgical & Adjuvant Trials is scheduled for the afternoon prior to the Meet the Professor Symposium and Annual Reception and Dinner.

This year we have introduced a half day on the Saturday commencing with a Meet the Professor Breakfast Symposium and followed by trials related sessions. The meeting will conclude with a networking lunch.

As usual, a comprehensive trade exhibition will showcase the most up to date products, technology and information on related topics surrounding Gastro-Intestinal Cancer Trials.

We anticipate that these few days will provide an exciting platform for researchers and specialists to come together to reach new heights in their understanding of current challenges in GI Cancer.

We look forward to seeing you in Sydney!

Yours Sincerely,
